Marking the 75th anniversary of the end of the World War II, the second part of a TV-documentary based on historical amateur footage (“We at war: Private films from Hitler’s empire”) depicts life during World War II from the perspective of German amateur filmmakers, among them soldiers and civilians. Tobias Ebbrecht-Hartmann analyses the visual discourse of these films and explains the background of unique film footage related to deportations and the Holocaust.
