Alessandra Thiele

Alessandra Thiele is an Italian-Austrian who grew up in Rome and graduated from the University of Vienna in the early 1990s with a thesis on “Film in Italian Futurism”. From the late 1980s to 2000 she worked for a number of international Film Festivals in various capacities while also operating an international film publicity company. In 1998 she was hired by Universal Studios Networks in the acquisitions department of the newly founded Italian film channel Studio Universal. Following this experience, she doubled as a film buyer and publicist for various companies amongst which the Austrian Film Museum. From 2011 to 2013 she headed the film distribution company Sacher Film in Rome owned by renowned director Nanni Moretti. In 2014 she came back to Vienna to work for the Austrian Film Museum where she is Michael Loebenstein’s Deputy Director since 2018.
