Nadja Šičarov

Nadja Šičarov, born 1992, obtained her MA degree in Preservation and Presentation of the Moving Image at the University of Amsterdam, with her thesis on “Experimental Restoration: Issues of Patina and Lacunae in the Restoration of Experimental Films”. She further developed her interest in the preservation of experimental and amateur cinema through her work at Slovenska kinoteka and its home movie collection. Since 2019, she has been working as a digital restorer at the Austrian Film Museum, where she mainly focuses on the digitization and restoration of artists’ films. Šičarov is co-coordinator of the international project “Share That Knowledge: Finding Strategies for Passing on Knowledge Across Generations of Archivists”.
