Pia Pachinger

Pia Pachinger is a Ph.D. student and project assistant at the Data Science group of the TU Wien. She was awarded the B.Sc. degree in Mathematics from the University of Vienna in 2018 and the Dipl.-Ing. degree (equivalent to M.Sc.) in Data Science from the TU Wien in 2022. Her research interests cover multiple topics in the field of natural language processing. She is currently working on toxicity detection in online newspaper forums. Pachinger worked on knowledge graph-based recommender systems as a member of the Databases and Artificial Intelligence group of the TU Wien together with Emanuel Sallinger, Georg Gottlob, and Joël Ouaknine in 2021 / 2022. In 2019 / 2020, she conducted research on anomaly detection in computer log entries using deep learning techniques at the Austrian Institute of Technology. From 2018 to 2020, she taught courses on Python and Wolfram Mathematica at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Vienna. In 2017 / 2018 she worked on topics in topological data analysis at the University of Bergen in Norway and the National University of Colombia.
