What can the Allied films from the liberated camps tell us today, 75 years after the end of the war?
In the course “Producing videoclips from digital archive material” in the Department of Communication and Journalism at the Hebrew University, students explore historical film footage, search for background information and edit audiovisual essays that appropriate historical films in reflexive ways. In this screening commemorating the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, students present films that used and appropriated allied film footage from the liberated camps.
